Read Hebrews 4:14-16
"Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need" (Hebrews 4:16).
What Does This Scripture Mean for Us?
So here we have it, the heart of what makes our faith, Christianity, REAL and unique: Our confidence that God loves us and accepts us is based solely and squarely in one Person -- our Lord Jesus Christ.
If I could impress that one thought upon you today, well, I would. Never, Never, NEVER feel you're unworthy to approach God, or that you've done something to make God "dislike" you or reject you. Plainly and simply put, we -- you and me! -- are loved by God and we are accepted by God based on his love and grace to us THROUGH JESUS, our "great high priest." He loves us with unfathomable, unconditional love in Christ. That's what redemption is all about -- HIM not US.
